Is it possible to actually hang out in the Throne Room of God for the average person? The answer is YES! It’s not only possible, it is God’s desire that you hang out with Him. In His great love for us, He’s provided a way that we can!

Let me show you how I know this beyond all doubt! Because God’s Word is always to be our first, final and only authority, we can easily go to it to find out what God’s will is in any area of our life. His Word will show you and me what He has for us.

Let’s check out Ephesians 3:12,

“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”

I especially love it in the Amplified version:

In Whom, because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear).

What does that mean? It’s simply this: when we have faith in God, we can also have the boldness, courage and confidence to FREELY, without fear, walk right into God’s throne room… into His Presence and spend time with Him ANYTIME we desire to. We can talk to God and hear Him talk to us. We can close our eyes and just sit in His Presence and feel His love for us pouring into us. (I do this regularly because I need my time with Him. I literally can’t get enough! The more time I spend with Him, the more I want to be with Him. Having a person relationship with God is incredible!)

Check out this verse:

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

That’s pretty powerful isn’t it? We can come BOLDLY, not timidly, but BOLDLY into God’s Presence! Once there, we can get mercy and find the grace to help in our time of need! It doesn’t get any better than that. Do you need mercy? (I do regularly.) Do you need grace? (Yup, I can say yes to that as well.) Do you have a need that you need help in? (I certainly do.) God’s provided our answer.

Of course, sin does come between us and God and keeps us out of His Presence. We can still talk to Him and ask Him for help… but the truth is, God cannot look upon the face of sin. He couldn’t with Jesus when the sin of the world was placed on Him, and He can’t with you and I. Sin, although it doesn’t separate us from His love, it DOES separate us from His Presence and receiving all that He has for us.

But here’s how GOOD God is!!! In His great love for us, He took care of that problem a long time ago. He sent Jesus, His Son, to die on the cross for our sins…  (John 3:16) Then He gave us a powerful life-changing Scripture in the Bible, (there are many). He gave us 1 John 1:9,

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Do you have a sin that is keeping you from approaching God for help? Please know that we ALL do at different times. But God made a way for every time we sin. Our part is to confess that sin to Him with a sincere heart. (You can’t fool God. You must have a sincere heart when you do this.)  His part when we confess it with that sincere heart is He will forgive us. But He doesn’t stop there. He said He will cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. In other words, we get a clean slate to move forward with. That’s the power and care of a loving God! A loving Father!

Once you take care of confessing and repenting of any sin in your life, you can march right into the Throne Room of God and spend time with Him. At that point, nothing is coming between you and Him. The sin is taken care of. Close your eyes (to shut out all distractions) and begin talking to Him… share your heart with Him… LISTEN to His heart for you. He has things He wants to share with you. But you have to be listening and not just talking. He desires this kind of relationship with you even more than you desire it with Him!!!

Can you hang out in the Throne Room of God? Absolutely. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have clear access to God Himself. It’s time for all of us to start hanging out in the Throne Room a whole lot more. It’s the best place in the world to be! :)

Is today your day? It is if you want it to be!

Praying for you!
